How we transformed Forgely into an American manufacturing powerhouse.
Forgely is a Roy, Utah based 3D printing company that manufactures 100% American-made filament. They walked away from the crowded toy printing market to focus entirely on producing a flawless, tight tolerance filament. We replaced their clunky store with a lightning fast, fully controlled digital storefront that handles everything from single spool hobbyist orders to massive print farm wholesale accounts.

The Problem
Forgely came to Elevation wanting a refreshed theme for their store because they felt their brand looked cheap. We looked at their backend and identified a much deeper problem. A simple visual facelift was never going to improve the user experience to the level they needed to attract large scale print farms or individual hobbyists. They needed a complete structural tear down to build a system that could actually sell precision manufacturing.
What We Built
The follow-up layer we wired up.
Custom Ecommerce Web Design Services
We bypassed off the shelf templates completely and designed a bespoke visual identity. Forgely is a premium manufacturing brand, and their digital presence needed to reflect the exact same zero tolerance precision as their physical product. This approach instantly elevated them above cheap overseas competitors.
Headless Shopify Deployment via Hydrogen
We used Shopify strictly as the backend engine while deploying a custom Hydrogen frontend. This gave Forgely absolute control over their presentation and blazing fast load times. It provided the perfect blend of rock solid inventory tracking and uncompromised user experience.
Affordable Ecommerce Web Design Services Strategy
We structured the project in distinct phases to keep the initial deployment lean and cost effective. Forgely needed massive wholesale features without the bloat of an agency mega project. We focused our development hours strictly on the checkout flow and tiered pricing modules that would actually drive their revenue.
Automated B2B Pricing Gates
We built custom logic into the user accounts to separate hobbyists buying one spool from print farms buying fifty. This allowed Forgely to run targeted sales and display specific bulk pricing to their most valuable clients automatically, eliminating hours of manual invoice generation.
The Difference
Before
Template Trap
Forgely used a rigid, buggy theme that crashed whenever they tried to bundle products or offer bulk discounts.
Slow Load Speeds
High resolution product photos of their filament colors bogged down the site, taking up to eight seconds to load on phones.
Disjointed Brand Identity
The website felt like a generic toy store, completely hiding the fact that they were a serious American manufacturing facility.
Stagnant Bulk Sales
Getting maybe one or two bulk orders a month because wholesale buyers could not navigate the clunky retail checkout.
After
Custom Control
A totally custom ecommerce platform built from the ground up to handle flexible pricing tiers seamlessly.
Instant Delivery
Instantaneous image delivery through a headless architecture keeps mobile shoppers engaged and buying.
Recognizable Everywhere
The design puts their Roy, Utah production front and center, establishing immediate trust with engineering and medical clients.
B2B Machine
A streamlined B2B portal that actively converts large print farm managers into recurring monthly buyers.

“I come from a tech background, so having access and being involved in the nuts and bolts of the process is important to me. Shawn and Jake accommodate my every need. Add to that the ability to pivot quickly and the ability to get creative with a contract to encourage us as well as them to generate online sales... You just can't beat it.”
